Stanley Kubrick “Chicago City of Contrasts”

Not all of you might know that before he became a critically acclaimed and notorious film director, Stanley Kubrick used to be a professional photo-journalist. During the summer of 1949, he was sent to Chicago to take pictures for a story titled “Chicago, City of Contrast”. Following are some of the pictures that were taken by Kubrick during his trip, some of which have only been released recently to be presented at the Parisian exhibition Cinematheque Francaise.
